A fully integrated operator, not a contractor.
BLG Mining is an African mining operator scaling into the United States. We operate as a subsidiary of BLG Property, drawing on institutional-grade governance, financial depth and the strategic networks built across a decade of property development.
Drill and blast, loading and hauling, geology, surveying and processing all run in-house, end to end, so accountability for every number sits in one place and you always know who to call.
The model is deliberate. Keeping every discipline inside the company is what lets a decision taken in the morning be on the bench by the afternoon, and what makes our figures worth auditing in the first place.

One group, four specialist divisions.
From Pretoria roots in 2016, Black Lion Group has grown into a multi-sector enterprise spanning four specialist branches: property, mining, heavy machinery and smart-home automation. Today the Group stewards more than R500 million in assets across South Africa, Namibia, Italy and the United States.
Each branch is a specialist business in its own right, and a working partner to the others. Mining runs on a fleet managed through BLG Machinery, and the property business brings the balance-sheet discipline the mines are governed by. Together, they are the Group.

Governance & compliance
Institutional-grade, independently audited.
We are certified to ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety and ISO 14001 for environmental management, across every site we run. Our geology and resource work is JORC and SAMREC compliant, built on Competent Person reports and full QAQC protocols.
None of it is self-declared. The certifications are externally audited, and the resource work is done to the standards the majors answer to, because offtake partners, financiers and regulators should not have to take our word for anything.

Forty hours of refresher training per employee every year, plus site-specific inductions for anyone who sets foot on a lease.
